RN100

We are pleased to be able to share a sneak preview of the RN100 badge design, which will mark 100 years of the Royal Navy partnership in 2019.

Congratulations to our very own Tallulah from 3rd Chalkwell Bay Sea Scouts , who submitted the winning design. The occasional badge will become available from Scout Store in late 2018.

Scout Experience Survey 2018

The annual Scout Experience Survey, which replaces the many surveys we used to send, aims to find out how our volunteers, young people and parents feel about Scouting.

All adults supporters, Leaders, supporters, parents/carers, Scouts, Explorers and Network members are asked to complete the survey. Everyone taking part has a chance of winning £500 to spend at Scout Store or Scout Adventures.

Although it’s a busy time for young people, the survey results will help us improve Scouting’s impact, recruitment, external support and decisions on spending.

Happy Birthday Cub Scouts!

Cubs100_banner

Happy birthday Cubs! Though we have been partying hard all year, today is the day to truly celebrate 100 years of Cub Scouts.

What’s on today

Cubs will be everywhere today! Don’t miss us on national breakfast TV and on Facebook Live with Reuters at 8.35am. We are in the Telegraph this morning, and then this afternoon on BBC Newsround. It’s a jam-packed day in the lead up to the big event tonight.

What’s on tonight

At 19.16, we’re asking all our members, both young people and adults, to renew their Promise. Make sure you share your Promise Party photos with the Movement by tagging them with #Cubs100 on social media, and sign up to Thunderclap to help broadcast our message worldwide. Using this Twibbon on your social media profile photo is a fun way to show your support.

A Jamboree For All Ages

newsite_junior_jam

Essex International Jamboree – the largest ever joint Scout and Guide camp in the UK – has become even larger!  We are giving a Junior Jam opportunity for Cubs, Brownies, Beavers and Rainbows.

Junior Jam has been created especially for our younger sections, who are warmly invited to enjoy a full day of Jamboree experiences with their friends and leaders.  Just choose whether you would like to come along on either Sunday 31st July or Monday 1st August.

For just £20, all the young people will receive their own scarf and badge before joining in the EIJ Experience Trail.  They will then enjoy a full day of exciting activities.  These activities include climbing, abseiling, bouncy castles, low ropes, crystal maze, crafts and many more.

Leaders can attend for just £10 each.  More information and how to make a group booking, go to www.eij.org.uk/juniorjam

Please note: Junior Jam is for groups (Cubs, Brownies, Beavers and Rainbows) with their leaders to do a structured day of activities, not the opportunity to go and meet up with groups that are at EIJ. No bookings for individuals will be taken. Your booking will only be secured on receipt of full payment and accompanied by your reference number which will be sent to you on receipt of initial booking form
