Scouts wear a teal green shirt or blouse, navy blue activity trousers or skirt, a group scarf with a woggle, and a Scout belt. Sea Scouts wear a blue version of the standard shirt. Polo shirts are also available for summer wear.
We recognise that uniform is an expense, and not all troops will insist on Scout trousers but will let the young people wear school or similarly smart trousers. However this is up to the individual leaders, and scout trousers are a practical uniform for the activities that scouts are involved in at meetings.
Uniform can be bought at a number of outlets including, currently, Belchamps Scout Centre and Army & Navy Stores on London Road, Westcliff (near Hamlet Court Road). Alternatively, you can buy direct from the Scout Shop by clicking the images above.
The scarf and woggle will normally be given to you when your child is invested into the Troop (makes their promise in front of the other Scouts). However, if your child has “linked” (come up from Cubs) from the same Group then they would usually use the scarf that they were previously given.
